Will Mom Be OK? Families Talk About Breast Cancer

DVD $30
VHS $25
One of the hardest moments a woman may face during her battle with breast cancer is telling her children. Moms are superheroes. They aren't suppose to get sick, tired or be bald. Every year, thousands of mothers tell their children they have breast cancer. The news comes suddenly, and no one is prepared for it. In this video, introduced by CNN's Paula Zahn, you will hear two child/family counseling experts discuss:

• How to tell your children you have breast cancer
• Communicating effectively
• Managing the daily routine
• Recognizing a child's distress signals
• Dealing with your own emotional highs and lows

And you'll meet four families, with children ranging in age from 3 years to 18, who openly share their stories about breast cancer. Children of all ages need reassurance when their world is shaken. This video is supportive, caring and positive, and will give you tools to help yourself and your family.
